1. Introduction

At mysunnypet, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our website and tell you about your privacy rights.

2. Data We Collect

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

  • Identity Data: includes first name, last name, and pet names.
  • Contact Data: includes email address and telephone numbers.
  • Booking Data: includes the service address, ZIP code, preferred date and time, and any notes you add when you request an appointment.
  • Free Guide Request Data: includes your name, email address, ZIP code, your pet’s name and breed or mix (both optional), the guide you requested and when, whether you chose to receive marketing emails, and how you reached the page (such as the referring site or campaign tags in the link).
  • Technical Data: includes internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, and time zone setting.

3. How We Use Your Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data to register you as a new customer and to process and deliver your pet grooming bookings.

4. Our Free Grooming Guide

When you request our free grooming guide, we use the information you submit to process your request and give you access to the guide, and to understand where in New Jersey our dog parents are located. You do not need to create an account.

  • Delivery: after you submit the form, the guide is available to download directly from our website. We do not email the guide. A temporary access link, valid for a short time, is created each time you download it.
  • Strictly necessary cookie: to let you download the guide after submitting the form, we set a first-party cookie that stays valid for 24 hours. It cannot be read by scripts on the page and is not used for advertising. We store only a one-way hash of its value.
  • Marketing emails are optional. The checkbox is unchecked by default, and you receive the guide whether or not you check it. If you check it, we may contact you with occasional grooming tips and MySunnyPet updates by email. To stop receiving them, contact us using the details on our contact page. This checkbox is not related to the analytics and advertising technologies described below.
  • Abuse prevention: to protect the form from spam, we keep short-lived counters based on a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address and email address.
  • Where it is stored: your request is stored in our database and the guide file in our file storage, both provided by Supabase. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. Only authorized MySunnyPet staff can view guide requests through our private dashboard.

5. Analytics and Advertising Technologies

Our website uses Google Analytics and Google Ads, and the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel together with Meta’s Conversions API, to understand how the site is used and to measure and improve our advertising. These services may set or read cookies and similar identifiers and receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser details, the pages you view, and actions you take, such as submitting a form. When you submit our appointment request form, some contact details (such as your email address, phone number, name and ZIP code) are sent to Meta in hashed form to help match the action to an advertising account. The free guide request form does not send the details you enter in it (name, email address, ZIP code or pet details) to Meta.

Optional cookies for analytics and advertising are on by default. You can turn them off at any time using “Cookie preferences” in the site footer. We store your choice in a necessary first-party cookie. If you reject advertising cookies, we do not send events to Meta, including from our server. Our guide request and download keep working either way.

6. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We use service providers to run our website and business, including Supabase (database and file storage), Cloudflare (website hosting), Google (analytics and advertising) and Meta (advertising measurement). They process data on our behalf or under their own terms, as described in their policies.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We are finalizing how long we keep free guide requests, booking requests and related records, and will update this policy once those periods are set.

8. Data Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed.
